Step 1: Obtain Video

Ways of getting movies on iPhone:

• camera
• 8mm app

Other sources of video:

• videocameras
• camera built into computer

Step 2: Importing Video Files to Computer

Import using Image capture, Picasa, or Preview

Create/Edit Video Using iMovie

Import iPhone Movie into iMovie

You've got two options for importing videos from your iPhone into iMovie. The first is to transfer all the videos onto your computer, then import them into iMovie as needed. The second is to import movies from the iPhone directly into iMovie.

Option 1: Dump, Then Import

File > Import > Movie

Pick the movie file (.mov format)

Drag the movie from the "Event" portion of iMovie into the "Project" portion of iMovie.

Edit as needed.
