Installing XFCE

Use Pentoo to get everything taken care of for you.

When Pentoo starts up, it will be at a command line. You can type startx to start up the XFCE desktop.

Getting Set Up

Two things I did right away were:

1. Change Caps lock to Control

2. Screenshot keyboard shortcut

These were both child's play, using Pentoo. Here's how.

Caps Lock to Control

Screenshooter

You can use xfce4-screenshooter as the command to launch xfce's screenshot widget. You can bind it to a keyboard shortcut by following the instructions on the page.

I have screenshot bound to Control + Shift + 0.
